On December 18, 2006, Princess Hours premiered on ABS-CBN in the Philippines.

The original Korean character names were changed in order to appeal more to a Filipino audience. The protagonist Shin

Chae-kyeong became Janelle - ang cute, na isang inocenteng babae na pumapasok sa same school na pinapasukan ni Gian ang crown prince. Ang lolo ni Janelle at ang Previous King ay matalik na magkaibigan may kasunduan silang ipapakasal yung mga apo nila “Arrange mirriage” kung tawagin. Pinakasalan ni Janelle si Gian para i-save yung family nya sa paghihirap although hindi nya mahal si Gian at that time pero in the end Naku naman tulad nang ibang love story sympre ma iinlove talaga sya nang todo

Lee Shin changed to Gian - The crown prince of Korea, Suplado, Sensitive, Antipatiko at bf ni Monique. He also owns a teddy bear “Alfred” sa una ayaw nya si janelle pero habang patagal nang patagal yung story nagkakaroon na sya nang puso dito at nahuhulog na, sobrang caring ba naman ni janelle e, sweet pa, tsktsk bagay na bagay nila

Lee Yool to Troy - He returns from a long stay in England with his mother, the widow of the former crown prince. He is the opposite of Shin, he is warm, kindhearted, sweet, and romantic. sino ba naman babae hindi ma iinlove dito? naging bestfriend ni janelle. pero na inlove din si troy kay princess janelle, gumawa din nang way si troy para maangkin ang princess, then later on pinagaaway na nila si Princess Janelle

and Min Hyo-rin to Monique. - A skilled ballerina. She is beautiful, intelligent, accomplished–basically, perfect in every way possible. In the beginning, she is Gian’s girlfriend, and he proposes to her. However, she rejects him, not only because she thinks he is joking, but also because she does not wish to give up her dreams of becoming a star ballerina. pero nung malaman nya yung arrange wedding na magaganap sa kanila ni Janelle nag she felt regrets sa mga decision nya so she finds ways to draw Gian back to her

As with other Koreanovelas, the show was dubbed in Filipino.

The voices of Janelle, Gian, Troy and Monique were voiced over by Jo Anne Chua, Leo Lim, Jeffrey Tam and Lyanne Padilla, respectively.

The theme song included on the official Korean soundtrack, “Perhaps Love” (Hangul: 사랑인가요, originally sung by J and Howl), was also redone into Tagalog as “Pag-ibig Nga Kaya” (Is It Love Indeed?) and performed by Christian Bautista and Rachelle Ann Go with permission from MBC. The show’s finale was aired on April 10, 2007, with ABS-CBN broadcasting Princess Hours: The Royal Special on April 11 and 12. Bautista and Go were both chosen as hosts for the special.

Almost a year after it’s first appearance in the Philippines, ABS-CBN decided to run the series again; (August 19, 2007 - May 25, 2008)
